Host a fixed bid event!!!
In support of our 4th Annual Jordan Creek Auction
Have you ever wondered how to help with school fundraiser events, but have been boxed in by work or home schedules to do so? Hosting a Fixed Bid party is a GREAT way to help our school and have an awesome time in the process!
We are in need of some awesomely fun couples and families to host family, adult or student events for our 2012 Jordan Creek Auction, Tomorrow’s Stars. Party themes include but are not limited to

American Girl Party
-
Kids/Adults in the Kitchen

Bowling/Sledding/Paint Gun Parties
-
Martini/Parents Night out parties
Here’s how it works:

Choose one of the themes listed below or create your own

Agree to host and fund the party either at your own home or a location arranged by you

Use your creativity and resources to come up with the party details and communicate those details to Denise Steim, Fixed Bid Committee Chair, at 770-4058.

Tell all your friends and family about the awesome event you will be hosting that will benefit your kids’ school. See how many people you can get to fight over you’re their spot at the party and have them sign up during the night of the auction on February 25th, 2012.

Kids Parties:

American Girl Party
|
Bring together your friends and their American Girl dolls for a party! Dress like your doll or dress up in your fanciest outfit and enjoy treats with your friends and their dolls. Maybe make a craft with your doll to take home. |

Getting in to Nature |
Host your party in the woodsy back yard of your home or at a local park. Go on a scavenger hunt for items found only on Mother Earth. Gather around and share your finds while having a picnic or a snack. Alternatively, arrange for a facilitated party with Melanie Perry at the Raccoon River Nature Lodge. |

Kids in the Kitchen
|
Let the kiddos choose their own meals and have fun preparing the meal in your very own kitchen. Perhaps have a “Cooking Challenge” or prepare a meal for a special event. Alternatively, coordinate a child’s cooking class with the Hy-Vee kitchen or another local chef/bakery. |

Paint Gun Party |
Invite your friends to your backyard for a paintball party. Rent equipment or they bring their own. Alternatively, meet at Seven Oaks Recreation in Boone or Action Jacks in Newton and play there. |
Family Parties:

Hayrack Ride/bonfire
|
Take a group of family friends on a Hayrack ride and enjoy hot chocolate and smores around a bonfire afterwards |

Cooking Together
|
Get a group of families together and plan a menu; let the kids plan a menu for the parent’s anniversary or choose a culture and prepare a typical meal for that culture. Prepare the meals together in your home or alternatively coordinate a cooking class with the Hy-Vee kitchen or another local chef/bakery. |

Bowling Tournament |
Host a bowling tournament for your family and friends. Winners take home a trophy and earn the Championship title. The “trophy” could be grungy old bowling shoes or someone’s old bowling ball from high school. |

Sledding party |
Host finds location and could, serve the chilly sledders hot chocolate and treats. |
|
Cubs Tailgate Party |
Tailgate before the game and watch our team beat the outsiders! Dress in team colors, cheer, and enjoy! |

Be the Best party hostess |
If you love to host parties teach others how, too! Cook together your favorite hors d'oeuvres, create a grand table setting and make party favors for guests to take home. |

Dinner Party + Funny Bone
|
Gather some of your couple friends to meet at a local restaurant for a custom dinner party and then travel to a show at the Funny Bone (or another local event of the host's choosing) |

Martini Party
|
Host a martini party at your own personal bar! Create different martinis for your guests to try. Vote on your favorite martini. Create recipe cards in fun martini glasses for guests to take home. |

Chocolate and Wine Tasting
|
Who doesn’t love chocolate and wine! Support our local businesses by sampling their chocolates, such as Chocolaterie Stam or the Chocolate Storybook. Chocolaterie Stam will hold chocolate and wine tasting events at their Ingersoll location as well. |

Red Carpet Academy Awards 2013 Party
|
Host a black tie academy awards party! Serve cocktails, hors d'oeuvres & desserts with Academy Award themes and names while watching the awards on TV. Host some awards of your own (best dressed, etc). Start a pool of who will win which category with prizes to hand out to the winners |
